Hi all, my mother-in-law keeps talking about a book that she used to read to her sons when they were small, which was in the late 70's at a guess, and would really love to get it again for her grandchildren. She remembers it being about a man eating food and the less he eats the thinner he gets until he is small enough to slip through a fork, and she remembers a picture of this man laying over the fork and nearly slipping through. Could somebody please help me to find out the name.
This definately rings a bell so I shall watch with interest to see if anyone remembers the title ... I seem to remember it was in a collection of short stories with pencil illustrations .... like a sort of Tales of the Unexpected for kids ..... sorry I can't remember the title but I do remember the story... good luck
