Absolutely topper, old chap! The most consistently funny writer of the 20th C is my personal opinion. There's not much variety to the style and once you've read a few you forget which plot belongs to which book but who cares? He is one of those authors where the quality of writing is more important than plot and variety. Everyone should be made to read at least one Jeeves and Wooster and one Blandings novel. As you can tell, I'm a fan.
I haven't read a novel but I fondly remember the TV series. I didn't have a dog at the time but Wodehouse's bossy methods certainly taught me a lot about controlling them. 'Get down Shep' wasn't the catchphrase but it was something very much along those lines and very funny. I still don't have dog and it must be over twenty years. Thank you VikramDave!

Well remembered Aubrey - I had forgotten about Wodehouse's later exploits as a dog trainer. "Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! That's a good boy! Pat your knees, walk away, turn around and he should stay". I once knew an AubreyFelch who, whilst never owning a dog, certainly gave quite a few a bone. Was that you?

He's the guvnor. Nobody, apart from Jerome K. Jerome and his "Three Men in a Boat", has ever written anything funnier.
If Machiavelli was a nice bloke, he'd be Jeeves. Fantastic.
