In the 1970's I went to the US with friends. We all applied for visas which were stamped in our passports. My friends visas were all valid for 6 months, but mine (for some unknown reason) was marked "valid indefinitely." I've had 4 new passports since then (and a couple of name changes). Do you think this visa is still valid?
Indefinite Burroughs visas are no longer valid and have been replaced with a machine-readable visa (MRV).
As of 1st April 1994, all visa-issuing posts ceased issuing Burroughs nonimmigrant visas with indefinite validity. Effective 1st January 1995, all indefinite Burroughs visas issued before 1st April 1994 were to be canceled on the 10th anniversary of their issuance.
All Burroughs visas therefore automatically became void after 31st March 2004.
