Hi - anyone know anything about rosescia?
Over the last couple of weeks my nose is looking red and it itches - no rash, just annoying. Friends have suggested cortisone cream, but I am not too sure.
Any information will be gratefully appreciated, otherwise maybe I can lead Santa's sleigh this Christmas and give Rudolph a rest!

Great product for Rosacea is Elicine cream.

This product has had excellent feed back for skin conditons etc and it dosn't contain any nasty irritants.

Thank you cosmetix4u - I will check it out.
You really need to see your doctor who, if he/she suspects rosescia should refer you to the hospital. This does need to be kept an eye on, otherwise you can end up with one of those huge noses that old men sometimes have.

I certainly will heed your advice 'spudqueen' - thanks. In the meantime I was advised by someone at work to try an over-the-counter product for hayfever and allergy relief and it did take away the itching. I bought some cream called Eurax which also is supposed to treat the condition. Other than a little redness, the situation is a lot better. However having checked out rosacea in the web. I will check with the doctor if the problem continues. Not too keen on the alternative.
My husband suffered from rosacea for years and took medication prescribed by his GP for 18 months which meant no alcohol (which is said to exacerbate the condition) and he didn't eat spicy foods for that period either. It didn't make any difference. It may sound absolutely mad but somehow or other, can't remember how we got onto it, he started to rub Oil of Olay into his face every morning and evening and it has completely cleared up! If he doesn't follow this regime, the redness and itching returns. It's worth a try - anything and everything is worth a try - and I hope it does work for you.

Thank you for your tip 'Kenzie'. I will try this, although the
allergy tablets seem to have taken away the itchiness, thank goodness, although the tingling and redness are still happening occasionally.
I always used to use Oil of Ulay, but now have been using their other products ie. Regenerist Serum and 'Daily 3 Point treatment cream' Since they have changed their name to Olay, there are so many different ones, I get confused. Presumably it was the basic one your husband used? Glad it worked for him.
Deanna, he uses the sensitive one

Will give it a go. Thank you Kenzie.
PS Yes, the basic one
