i would recommend you get in touch with the local PALS (patient advice and liaison service) office (you will find it on your local primary care trust website) Each area will have different rules on who can and cannot recieve ivf. For example, in my area if either partner have had a child before, or have adopted children they are automatically ineligible. Also, we have a strict age criteria here and if you fall outside then no go im afraid. also if your BMI is above 30 you cant get it. Ivf is one of those treatments that is rationed by the health service and if one of you dosent fall in their (strict) criteria then you are barred from having the treatment.
