Contacting Buyers for large retailers?

After emailing, writing and phoning, had anybody else presented products to Buyers of chains such as Ikea, Argos, Hootys, Wilko, how do you get your foot in the door to see them?

Make sure you actually have a viable product that they will be interested in and then make sure you have everything prepared and are able to answer all of their questions.

Before I retired I always made a point of seeing anybody who turned up to see a buyer This meant that I saw a lot of items of no use to the company I worked for but I also saw quite a few products of use to us and others where I could point them in the right direction. The successful salesman is the one who gets to see the customer in the flesh, leaving a brochure or business card is the worst way of introducing a product.
