Homer says "Doh" a lot in The Simpsons cartoon. Play means recreation

and this brand is only 8 letters not 9 confirmed on here
all I can tell you as a clue its that they made space ships and animals and in the 1980s (son had loads) and they are still going strong now

when you say think country, do you mean the name of a country, or "countrified" e.g rural.What you,ve descriced sounds like Lego or Playmobil smouse, but it doesn't fit!
