Waited in anticpation for it to come on at 10pm,large glass of vino in my hand, and i am sorry what a dissapointment, even made the boy wonder watch it, didnt shed one tear, to predictable, reminded slightly of fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop cafe, a great film, but the notebook was sadly lacking sorry!!!
Totally agree - after having read a good review of this on IMDB or LoveFilm or something or other, I settled down in bed to watch this, anticipating at least a sniffle, if not a tear.
96% naff I'm afraid. Tearducts did slightly well at one late stage, but never came to anything in the end.
I enjoyed it I have to say but if you want a real tearjerker try reading books by the author that wrote The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks, the books are far sadder!
I still cried - second time of watching it ! I too cried buckets at Beaches. But I remember years ago a film called "The Day they gave babies away" I wept for days !!
