Strange songs from my teenage years have been popping into my head just lately. Yesterday it was Moonlight Shadow; so far so good. Today for some strange reason it's been 'Swing Your Daddy' - circa 1974 by Jim Jockstrap or something similar.

a) What exactly is he swinging? It can't literally be his father can it. Poor thing, that's no way to treat your elders.
b) The next line goes something like 'you've got my love jones out of control' - what the hell does that mean? Love Jones? Is that a euphemism?

Can anyone enlighten me on this perplexing but wonderful ponderance?

I have tried googling it, of sorts. It could relate to an American Jazz Band, but that still doesn;t make too much sense.

I think it's his pet name for his... thingummyjiggywotsit.
