Why get your son baptised anyway. My mum is very religeous and I felt forced into religion from a young age. I decided to let my two sons wait until they were old enough to make the decision themselves if they want to be baptised or not - neither of them are baptised and leading happy fulfilled lives.Do not push your children into the religion of your choosing - their beliefs may not be the same as yours.
If you are not that religeous then why have them christened at all - again let them decide for themselves when they are able.
