Hi there,

This probably isn't the right section, but I can't find one on smoking.

Can anybody tell me what type or size or brand of cigarette that has a small green band/ring that denotes the filter end.

Now, I smoke a pipe or cigars and don't smoke cigarettes but I have long been curious as to which they are.

Perhaps they are menthol?

I think I recall seeing some red and blue packaging, not sure if that helps much, but i'll tell ye anyways.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

there is no rule to it, so it could be anything

but the chances are that a green ring would simply mean menthol, I can't think of any brand I've seen/smoked that has a green on them at all other than menthols

Menthol cigarettes tend to have a totally white tip also, so if it was all white with just a green ring they will be menthol. Most menthol in different brands are green packaging also, so if you know its not green, they may be easier to find.

Thanks all.

No to the Sherlocking, though I do smoke a pipe, lol!

Anyways, I found out (by buying some that it does mean menthol, so you folks were right.

Thanks again for your help, one less thing to be curious about. :-)
