Why was Virginia foudned?

Yeah, well, I was wondering if the god glary and gold was for ALL 13 colonies because i'm supposed to write a two page repot and it has to be detailed and I don't know how i'm going to make more than two sentences about WHY and WHO founded the 13 colonies, can someone help?

I don't know what god glary and gold might be. The colonies were founded to provide a home for people, to profit from trade with the natives, to give England more land to rule and in the case of Spanish settlements to bring back gold.
