Christmas!! Love it or hate it!!

Well,what do you think about the follow up to Christmas then? I know it's a bit early to think about it.But,I just wondered what everyone's comments are these days. I think that this year,everyone will be feeling the pinch,and watching how they spend their hard earned money. I have a funny feeling that most shops will see their sales drop a bit this year.It seems that Christmas is getting far too commercialised these days.Big shops will want their employees to work longer hours to make up their profits. I don't really enjoy Christmas nowadays.There is so much hype on the run up to the actual day.Then,it's all over after Boxing Day!! It seems that when you're grown up,you don't feel so excited than when you were much younger as a child or teenager. Don't get me wrong though,I enjoy Christmas Day with my brother and his family.It's nice when we all gather round the dinner table to enjoy our Christmas roast. My brother's two kids seem to bring more fun into the festivities.That's what Christmas is all about really,isn't it?

We had Christmas cards in early September this year in the card shop in our town!!!! Unbelievable!!
I'm sure we will have Easter eggs very soon for next year!!

I adore Christmas, always have. Have to be honest, it's been made better these last few years with having a little one, but I still get a buzz from it.

And yes, i've already bought most of the presents too.

loads of ppl have forgot what xmas is all about now it is money and gifts and i hate it when you go to the shops near xmas and u cant get moved anywere as there are loads of ppl i just started working for bhs and they started th xmas stuff tonight i was there for 13 hours streat just doing it and there are still ppl working 2nite to get it done for 2moro morning xxxxx

NOT wanting to spoil the thread at all BOO lol but have you thought what its like its like if you are not even at all religiously motivated -cos thats whats its about -not commercialism -and have to give your kids which Santa thankfully always did.

Also why does my husband have to take 2 of his 5wks off in the middle of bleeding winter just cos of this sh!t.He and i are bored -we want to take the holidays when we want to -like in the spring in the summer-naw he has to stagnate and so do I for 2wks-unles we eff off to Spain.

My son will be going to spend Christmas with his dad and his family this year. I am working Christmas eve and boxing day. My hubby and I are having a pj and slipper Christmas. I am buying him new pjs and slippers and he is buying them for me. We intend to wear these and go nowhere all day. We will have our family meal when my son gets back from his dad's house. New Year will be different. We are all heading home to Scotland to spend it with all the family there.

I've yet to find a horrior film that scares me - but I'd like to, otherwise there's not much point in watching them. Any ideas, Imhotep? I thought the Halloween ones were lame. Thing is, they don't make decent, suspenseful ones any more. You still can't beat the old Hitchcock ones that make you jump out of your skin!
