Camping and Conservation

My wife and I camped over night in the Mourne Mountains this last weekend -  WOW!  Those mountains are cool.  We plan on spending lots of time exploring these mountains.  On that note, can anybody tell me where I can find official regulations about camping such as areas where we are allowed to camp and regulations concerning camp fires, etc.?  Also, are there any conservation groups that we can join so that we can do volunteer work in the Mournes, such as trail maintenence and general cleaning up, etc.?   Thank you.
