I have to attend a very important apppointment next month so I'm going to buy a nice bootcut trouser suit, unfortunately I have a real problem with wearing heels of any description (i'm a trainer girl) and especially as there will be a lot of travelling to get there, can anyone suggest what sort of shoes will look great with a suit (and of course smart) but not kill my feet all day? Thanks, Laura

I know that they are not the trendiest shop, and are a little more expensive than many high street shoe shops, but Clarkes shoes are sooo comfy.
Why not buy shoes with a very small heel, and wear your trainers to travel to and from your interview, and keep your smart shoes in a bag, and change when you arrive.
In my opinion, i think those ballerina shoes would go well with a suit. You could get those little kitten heel ones or the ones which are totally flat, which are both smart and comfortable.
Office does nice ballet pumps, check it out for sexy flats as well, but make sure your trousers aren't too long or you'll ruin them. good luck!
I have the same problem. I agree with andy hughes - i always travel with spare shoes, and normally only change into suit at last minute so its not creased etc.
I normally wear kitten heels. not only do they look smart but i also find i walk and stand better in small heels, which in turn makes me look better at the interview/appointment.
Luckily there are lots of stores with flat but smart and trendy shoes - office is great if you have one near you, failing that try dorothy perkins for comfy and cheaper ones, also next.
I wore clarks flat shoes when i worked long shifts at a hotel at uni, and although comfy i think they dont look as smart as small heels.
But most importantly you need to be comfortable so wear smart flats if you think you would be happier! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the great answers!  I think I'll take a look in Office at the weekend and go with the kitten heels.
