digital cameras

My digital camera has just broken and I would like a new one. I want one that is straight forward and easy to use and doesn't cost a fortune. Anyone any suggestions which is the best. Thanks.

Not sure what you class as a fortune, I've always had canon and found them quite unreliable so this time got a Fuji F50.
It had great reviews, about �150 so mid range, very easy to use and take fabulous pictures (although the flash pics are not as good as the Canon so depends what you want it for)

I bought this camera, is has 12x zoom which makes for great pics, http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?p q-path=12460&pq-locale=en_GB&_requestid=10161 for �129 is is well worth it, i would invest in the easy share dock and rechargeable battery for it although that would push the price up to about �200 but the images you get and quality is out of this world. there is also the Z1275 from kodak and at 12 megapixels its a cracking camera also and cheaper than the one above.
just my personal opinion for what its worth
