Anyone been to Meerufenfushi....?
Hi,
I am looking at the Maldives for honeymoon next Sept and think I have narrowed it down to Meeru with Dubai on the way back...
Can anyone tell me anything about the resort..
We would go All inclusive - are there any drinks that aren't included?
Any extra costs that aren't publicised?
Anything at all you could tell me would be a great help..
Thanks

I can't tell you about Meerufenfushi, but I can tell you about Kuredu. This is the so called largest island in the Maldives, and it only took us 45 minutes to walk all the way around it.
What is there to say about it except it was P A R A D I S E on earth. We went nearly 4 years ago for my 50th birthday which is on St Valentines day.We tried to get the Sangu Water Villas, and was a bit disappointed when they were fully booked, so we booked a Beach Bungalow, and we're so glad we did. Ours was Number 245. In the evenings we walked in the Indian Ocean to the restaurant. I know i'm babbling a bit but I get so excited thinking about it. We did hire a water-taxi (sea plane) to get the island which was about 120 each. This was an experience that was so
much fun, you could feel the sea, and see all the other islands..... magical. Kerudu's policy is no shoes an news, and believe me that was so true.
There was one little thing that we were a bit disapointed with, and that was, you had to pay for the things in your mini bar, But this has now changed and that comes with the all inclusive as well.
Oh and the toilet and shower is outside, don't panic it's all enclosed and it has a roof on it.
I could send you more info if you wanted?
But this is the best holiday i've ever had.hmmmmmm

I went to Meeru before it was developed.
I have been there since and it has been spoilt - it has lost its Maldivian charm.
Try Kuramathi. Uniquely it has three resorts on one island. Kuramthi Village is my favourite. Snorkelling and scuba diving is great. The AI deal at Kuramathi really is that - the only thing you pay for are premium wines and spirits or champagne. Beware of many other so-called "All Inclusives" in the Maldives. Many of them are nothing of the sort.
