The trouble here is like all technology, it advances at a fast pace.
I have a Daewoo PVR which is already out of date as new models have replaced it. That said, it has changed my viewing habits - it's a twin tuner, record two things at once while already watching a recording, timeshift, EPG, huge hard drive etc. I very rarely watch anything "live" now simply because I have so much to catch up on.
It works perfect except that every few months, an irritating little fault occurs where it goes a bit doolally, sometimes cutting programmes off when recording, sometimes mixing the channels when recording. As I said tho it is minor, I usually see it starting to do that, I just do a factory reset and it's perfect again (and I don't lose recordings when I do).
Give me a PVR over Sky any day.
PS - I remember a gadget show some months back where they tested some, and Humax came on top.
