Whats wrong with my dog ?

I have a Westie and recently, in the past few days, she's been chewing her knee and leg by her bum and now she has bald spots.

I wouldn't have noticed but I found lump of her hair next to her. I checked the patches and they're lumpy.

They're not red, normal skin colour.

Any ideas what it could be ?

Im trying to make a vet appointment but they're not answering the phone... lol.... but I'll continue phoning :)

Could be a simple allergy to a flea bite. Shampoo her with a flea shampoo and get some Frontline spray from the vet.

Westies do suffer from skin conditions, but as this is only localised I think it is probably just an irritation from either a flea or a mite.

Thanks for both the answers but it turns out she has Fox Mange ?! ooooook .... lol
