And no, leg end, throat slitting hasn't been a standard method of animal slaughter, certainly in this country, for some time. The method used before the introduction of the electric stunner was pole-axing - an iron spike driven through the head. Not altogether pleasant, I know, but at least the animals mostly went out cold before the moment of death and not forced to die a slow, lingering, undignified death in the name of someone's god - a god, incidentally, about which I should think it cares diddly squat.

Once again if anyone thinks that slaughtering an animal Islamic way is painful then this link may help as this gives you the references of studies by few scientists that how it is better than any other method.
