Vaillant Combi EcoTEC pro 28

My wife and I live in a 3 bed detached bungalow. We have:
1 bath rm/ wc/ wash basin.
1 ensuite shower/wc/wash basin.Note the shower has a mixer valve and is fed from a twin impellr pump in the loft.
1 Kitchen with sink and is the boiler locatation.
We have 9 existing rads, 3 of the rads are doubles.
We seldom have a bath and never use the bath and shower at the same time. We do use the kitchen sink and have the shower on together. The shower is at the opposite end of the bungalow to the boiler location
Question: An installer recommends the ecoTec Pro 28 is it big enough for our needs?

Personally i would doubt it very much and would go for a much bigger output boiler. i would recomend the Vaillant ecoTEC Plus 837 Combi Boiler . It has a far greater hot water delivery than the ecotech pro 28
Only trouble you have got is that the power shower you have is probably not compatible with a combi boiler, (sounds like you have a system boiler fitted at present)

Thank you for your response. That's certainly food for thought. I assume the unit you mention is much more expensive than the one model we have been we have been quoted? All, new boiler, plumbing and building work we have a price of just over �1,800, although I am sure there will be extras.
Our current boiler, not a combi, is a Baxi 511 wall mounted, age about 20 years. we have 2 very large plastic cold water tanks in the roof space and down below a hot water cylinder. The pump for the shower takes its feed from the tank and hot water cylinder.

Unfortunatly it will be more expensive but you are far better off with too much hot water than too little. You are getting the best boiler on the market with the Valliant so i would invest that little bit extra. You will find a difference in hot water pressure ,as no matter what combi you get it wil not be as good as a tank fed system, plus you will defintley have to change your shower, as the combi will not cope with the demand of a power shower.
If your system is 20yrs old make sure you get it flushed properly before or while they are fitting your your boiler. Fitting a "magnaclean "magnetic filter to your system would be a good investment too.
