You on about the scenes in the club (didn't watch, recorded and FF'd for you)

It was "The snake" by Al Wilson, otherwise known as the Lambrini tune (might hear it on their website)

It was the tune at the end of the show when Paul and guests were dancing some of the old Wigan Casino moves
OK, FF'd again, caught it, but it was too indistinct to make out any lyrics, and there was too much clapping. I can say that I didn't recognise it, and I do know a lot of tunes. Sorry.

Cheers Postdog. Better luck next time

I've found it!!!! It's Frank Wilson 'DO I LOVE YOU?'
I'd have taken a guess at that - probably the most famous Northern record there is - there are rumoured to be only two or three copies of the original disc wich is worth six figures.
I have it on vinyl - needless to say it's not an original but probably worth a coupe of quid... would never sell any of my records though.
