It's Samuel Pepys & it was in 1660 - as per my husband's numerous SP books on the shelf!

Actually it was 1659 i should know as i was on key 103 radio yesterday who got it wrong and i have done some extensive research

1st Jan 1660 - unless its another dodgy question!!
