I actually met him once. I was taking my son to a Star Trek convention in the BIC. We were trying to see which part of the building to go to when Max came up to us and asked if he could help us. He escorted us to the right place. I was surprised how little he was. My late husband said, 'Who was that bloke? I've seen him somewhere.' I couldn't remember his name but told him he was the 'End of a lollipop man.'
