Am struggling with one last clue on this quiz. it is No.53 - Did appear to lose a little bird which bobs up again - can you give me any hints as to how to solve this one

This is an anagram od the first 2 words, losing a, bobs up again is a description of its behaviour, I believe.
My last one is no>91 Top notch, I am briefly on a perch to see a hunter. Do you think you could give me a hint towards this, so that I can put it to bed, so to speak?

No 91 - it is a combination of i am abbrev iated + on and another name for a perch which rearranged gives you the name of an aircraft - hope this helps..

Thanks Firewoman - the only bird I can think of is a dipper but this is on 6 letters and the answer is 8 letters - can you give any other clues?
