Firefox is extremely customisable and so it takes time to hone it to your needs.

It is worth sticking with

OK Ethel, got that,

tea time now, but I shall report back.cj
doc, you don't remove IE (in fact you can't it's an integral part of windows)

Just download firefox and install it and you will have a firebox icon to click as well as an IE one, you can then pick to use whichever you want..
Why not just use IE and FF, depending on your whim.

That's the front door
I have both on my computer but I mainly use IE. Don't know why really. I guess I'm just used to it.
I found IE used to freeze quite a lot and could be quite slow to load. So following Ethel's advice I installed Firefox and wouldn't go back now.
The only website I have problems with on Firefox is Tesco for some reason so I just use IE for that and as I only shop once a month it's not a problem.
Chickadee - you can download IE tab.

This is an addon for Firefox, which means you can open those sites within Firefox

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419

When you've installed it, just right click - open in IE tab
Thanks for that info Ethel, I shall try that.
