Well I've done it, without too much trouble.
I've given up the dreaded weed.
It is a month now since I had the last one.
Had no help, I just did it.
I was eating more for three weeks but the last week my diet has gone back to normal.
I feel so much better.

no know - that's a thought.

How much could I charge for smacking people?

Very sharp no-kno. Three stars.
well done cab! I too am a non smoker, 51/2 years now, keep up the good work, trust me, its more than worth the effort.
19 days and counting..... about just about half a month+ here..
Breathe better, don't smell, still have cravings for a cigarette, but feel better too.
Excellent news. Proof that all it takes is encouragement, support and willpower.

Pbeach, keep going well done. Quite right no knowledge.
Well done cab

2 1/2 days now, I`m not looking to quit, just don`t feel like smoking every day
well done cab. I gave up 4 years ago. i put on a bit of weight, but that could also be down to me getting older and lazier....lol.
The biggest difference is how you smell....no more smelly clothes and hair. And can you now tell which people smoke by just sniffing their clothes? just think....'I used to smell like that?'
keep it up.
:-)
I was talking now no-know, giving up is a long term commitment, so support and encouragement now is of equal import.

Octavious, lovely comment x
Hi cab, haven't 'spoken' to you before but just to say well done from me. I gave up 28 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Be wary of slightly jealous smoking friends who try to get you to have 'just the one' as it 'won't hurt'. Everything will be better, your food will taste nicer, you will smell nicer and you'll never regret it!

Thank you Sachs x
Ethel, did you manage to give it up entirely on willpower, or did ya need some help with patches, hypnotism or such-like?
I had tried lots and lots of times before finally stopping, like most ex-smokers.

Patches did it for me - and even then the first time failed.

But I did eventually stop with the patches.
Good for you!
