If you were in the U.S. as we are, about the best you could do, with any luck would be a crop of lettuce and maybe some radishes... and that depends on getting at least 4 or 5 hours of late fall sun. I wouldn't expect to much though and devote your efforts to next spring...
you can buy young leek plants now and these will over-winter. you can also plant onion and garlic bulbs now for an early crop next year. Broccoli will do ok planted now. Some peas will do ok now from young plants and also a quick crop of baby beetroots, raddish, lettuce and spring onions depending on when the first frost is due. Check out garden centres for young plants to buy now. I have seen some around in my local one and also Homebase has a selection.
