Yeah, there was a monastery there hundreds of years ago. It was abandoned as the ground is so marshy that it started to subside. or if you want to believe the local myth, it actually sank with a monk still inside , who now haunts the area (or did, before the shops went up anyway) so whooo!!! believe witch version you wish!

The woods between Broadhall way and Six hills way is in fact two woods, the metalled foot path is the boundary. The woodland nearest six hills way is Whomerly wood. In the about the middle of Whomery there is the remains of a moat around a small home of a few monks.
