Teeth Bleaching
After trying many different whitening toothpastes, I've just started using Eucryl tooth powder but am not seeing any positive results so far (early days though - only used it 3 times over 1 week). Does anyone get their teeth bleached / whitened etc. by their dentist ? If so, how effective is it and roughly how much does it cost ?

Hello again karmgirl !
I know - when my previous dentist tried to sell me their tooth whitening it was "from" nearly 400, and that was for about a years worth of product that you took home and did yourself for a year - not an hours treatment in the dentist chair to make them automatically white which is what I want !
Try Eucryl tooth powder if you haven't already as I've heard it's the most effective product available in the shops and cost me 1.19 from Savers.

You are wasting your money with whitening toothpastes, they will never work, but may be useful to maintain the effects of professional whitening.
I had Zoom Whitening done 2 years ago, costing 300 (Special offer at Erotica London) and it was reasonably effective, however, my teeth were not particularly stained or discoloured prior to treatment.
I would not have it done again as it was one of the most unpleasant experiences ever. I had to sit in a chair with my mouth open, in front of an ultraviolet light for an hour. Afterwards my teeth were hyper sensitive, so much so, I had to take painkillers for 48 hours. I couldn't eat, drink or sleep as I was in so much discomfort.
You will see more results with professional whitening, than you will with toothpastes, so perhaps treat yourself at Christmas and have it done, if it's what you want.
