Fruity crumble recipe

prep time 1o mins

cooking time 25 mins

serves 4 to 6


100gm caster sugar
2 x 450gm mixed frozen fruits

for the topping
100gm plain flour
50gm unsalted butter , cut into cubes
50gm caster sugar
25gm each of hazlenuts ,almonds and pecans.

preheta oven to 180c or gas mark 4
stir the fruits into the sugar and place in a one litre baking dish
to make the topping place flour ,butter , sugar and nuts in food processor and pulse/chop for a few secs.
put th crumble on top of the fruit pressing down lightly.
put in middle shelf of oven for 25 to 30 mins.
until top is browned and juices are bubbling thru.

serve with ice cream custard or clotted cream.

Also freezes very well so no need to waste it .

Oooh goody goody a recipe a day! That is fabby, something to look forward to, wake up in the morning, oh dear what a grey day, NO!!! there will be a fabby recipe from legolard and that is terrific.

I'm not sure I can keep this up. Laying down in the cemetery and awaiting inevitability has more attractions than this.

Very nice - but you don't need nuts....

I call crumble my 633 Squadron pud, hum the theme tune while I knock it together, and remember Cliff Robertson, a fine actor!

6 oz flour, 3oz sugar, 3oz butter/marg

May help the metric haters remember the recipe.....
