Pain in middle of chest after sleeping

Hi all,
For the past couple of weeks, I have been waking up with a muscular feeling pain in the middle of my chest. I have done a bit of Googling and it sounds like I have got inflammation of the area where the rib cage meets the sternum. But they suggest that this is after some sort of trauma or infection. I did have an upper respiratory tract infection at the beginning of August, but this doesn't tie in with when the pain started around 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure whether I sleep on my front, but it feels like it's something I'm doing whilst alseep which is causing the problem. I wear a 32E / 30F bra on a size 10 frame, so was wondering if it's the weight of these that could be contributing. I will make an appointment with my Doctor, as I understand any chest pain needs looking at. But it doesn't feel like anything to do with my heart, so nothing serious. Any suggestions?

Doesn't sound cardiac and I like your suggestion that it could be due to a mal-fitting bra. There are many other reasons, but I cannot think of any that could be described as "life threatening". See your GP who will get a much better description than you have given.

Thanks squad, I'm glad someone else has confirmed that it doesn't sound like a dodgy ticker. I've been professionally measured for my bra size, so I know it's not that. I meant that as they're fairly large on quite a small frame, the weight of them could be contributing to the problem. Although I think this would have caused more back pain, rather than chest. Just a suggestion...
Being a male, I am not an expert on bras......unfortunately. But don't worry.
