If we go away for weekend the mrs hides it.

Well this is how daft I am - I created a Word document with all sorts of useful info re the computer, then I password-protected it, so that only I could open it.

And for the life of me I can't remember what password I used, so I can't open the document.

There is a good way of keeping passwords safe - email them to yourself, especially if you have a web based email address.

Gmail has excellent search so it can easily be found.

Maybe not THE most secure way, but it does me.
