sickness discipline
Hi
I am off sick with stress/anxiety and depression. As this is the third time in 12 months my employers want to come and see me at home and (mentioned in the past) may discipline me. What are my rights and any advice please guys?
thanks - lindipops

Any decent employer would try and make resonable adjustments (ie maybe change your role a bit to avoid the things that stress you). The fact that they are coming to you means they are thinking of you, rather than making you come into work for the meeting. I would imagine you would have a right to have a representative attend (union?)
basically you should either have a policy/procedure or and employee handbook outlining the procedure.
As i said, if you are unable to carry out that role for which they pay you, they can cease to employ you

The advice would be to get yourself fit again as quickly as you can, so you can return to work.
The employer is acting within its rights and is seeking information to establish what the situation is.
Bednobs is correct that failure to attend work over a period of time may lead to your dismissal on grounds of capability (not redundancy as he suggests).
