Anyone out there who knows when the Dover Stage Hotel (Dover) was demolished and why. Blueflame.

Thank you Zacsmaster, the question arose after I saw a postcard of said hotel on Ebay recently and although i'm a fairly regular visitor to the Dover area I couldn't remember when or why it went.Seems a shame as it was quite an attractive building (in my opinion of course !) The area is now blighted by the awful duel carriageway serving the cross channel ferries.It's called progress I believe! best wishes,Paul.

Thanks "In A Pickle".The site you sent me is proving to be very interesting in as much as i'm reserching the family tree and my father and his family were all Dover people(some of them living in the long since demolished Town Station area).best wishes,Paul.
