Saving photos
Hello I have about 500 photos on my PC (Picasa) could i easily save these and more later onto a memory stick/card which is the best and easiest. Suggestions on size and brand would be helpful. I don't really want to put them on a CD Thanks in advance. From the original thick short plank.

Flash stores using electricery - and eventually the capacitors discharge and the key "forgets"
(there are keys that are more long term - but they are rigiculously expensive at the moment)
memory sticks are good for short term storage or for shifting files between machines
the trouble is - if you pull one out at the wrong time - you loose the lot.
far better to burn a CD or DVD and keep the files that way (2 copies is best)
then then collect another 500 - and do it again.
you can use a USB HDD almost as effectively - but only if it's formatted with NTFS (more chance of recovery if something does go wrong).
if you do it right - DVD has the added advantage of working on a dvd player as well - so you can show your granny
