maternity leave??
heloo
im 30 weeks pregnant and not due to start my maternity leave until 36 weeks. i only work on the tills but it is causing me so much greif and im so uncomfortable. i really dont want to go off earlier as need the money? what do you think i should do. oh and also my babies head is down and engaged already can any1 help here? thnx

if you go off sick i think you can be made to start your maternity leave up to 4 weeks before you want to.
babys often engage long before they are born. i went to 42+3 with my first and he was engaged from 30 weeks and fully engaged from 36 weeks.

Is your employer giving you adequate breaks, with somewhere to lie down if necessary? If not then you need to speak to your line manager, as this facility should be available to you.
If your chair at the till is uncomfortable, then request another that will give you more support and comfort. Don't be afraid to ask. If you feel you need to go on leave earlier, then check out your rights on the various Government websites or various sites that offer advice to pregnant women.
