Contract Mobile Phone with a solo card

i have a solo card, and i am looking to buy a pay monthly mobile phone, i've been refused a contract before, is it that i am 17? or is it that i have a solo account? incidentally i turn 18 in less than a month so is it worthwhile me trying again then with a solo account or should i get a switch maestro and then try? thanks for your help everyone

The reason why you have refused has got nothing to do with the type of card you have it is the bank account, basically you need a current account for direct debits to be taken from and a solo card is issued with a savings account, you could try to get someone to be guarantor for you as I have done this is in the past.
