Its my boyfriends birthday tomorrow and I think I'm more excited than him as I can't wait for him to open his presents! Do you prefer to give or receive gifts?

Im a bit silly really I still cant sleep the night before my birthday or xmas lol. So I would say receiving :)
I prefer to give, I'm like a child in a sweet shop when I have gifts to buy. I like to put a lot of effort into it - especially the wrapping. I get so naffed off when people don't notice the wrapping or the card :( waaaaaaaaaaaah.
I like to give as I hope alot of thought goes into most of my pressies and they are usually quite funny. Oooh caj not long now cant be only thing you're getting excited about :-)
I'm like Lore - so I guess I live to give more than receive.

That approach is true in almost all areas of my life I find.
Neither. I never know if the person might be dissappointed or have the thing already and I don't like receiving them because of the same reason.Makes me sound like a bit of a miserable so and so but I'd rather give and receive money.
Giving can give just as much satisfaction, and I love to give.
But receiving is soooo very nice too!

p.s. My birthday in 4 days' time. All gifts & compliments gratefully received!

I know 4get! I'm trying not to get excited, I've kind of convinced myself that I must have it all wrong lol!

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping Lore, no one ever notices lol.

Andy - I wish I was as wise as you!
I dont do fancy wrapping, redcrx knows he birthday presents come in wrapped in newpaper. I feel that it only get ripped up anyway so I recycle all my newpapers. I do by xmas paper for xmas though otherwise redcrx will know its come from me and not santa. Lol :-)
Good question.

I can`t deny I like getting things given me, but, honestly, I get a lot more satisfaction , or something, in giving. Especially if the receiver is not expecting it.

I hope redcrx doesn't read this post or she will definitly know the pressies don't come from Santa lol!
I get a great kick out of giving people presents, no matter how small they are. Obviously to receive is nice but giving is nicer.
Oh bums !!
sob :(
I hate shopping for presents and wrapping them but once its all done I prefer to give. I go all soppy and say "funk you" instead of "thank you" cos I get all embarrassed! Lol
