This is very tenuous, but does anybody know the poem with the lines something like
I do not like the human race,
I do not like its dirty face,
I know I've misquoted but I hope somebody recognises it.

I think Sir Walter Raleigh wrote it but I am not absolutely sure of that.

That's Sir Walter Raleigh (1861-1922) not the Elizabethan one. Had me puzzlling there. 'Silly face' and 'jolly fun' didn't sound like sixteenth century English !LOL
