Yes, this can happen. Don't worry about it - it happened to me several times but my GP totally reassured me that it was a common thing - just hormones needing to settle. I just ignore it if it happens now.

I'm not sure about common but its not unheard of. like you pointed out I would recommended the person seeing their local doctor for more detailed advice. hope everything works out okay for your friend.

If the person concerned is seeing a doctor, surely that doctor can reassure her that this problem is not so unusual.
