toast ... hot or not ?

Hot, so the butter melts into it ?
or
Cooled down, so the butter sits on top ?
(Jayne has just made herself a big stack of hot, melty butter toast)

I went through a stage of not eating toast unless it had been in the fridge for 15 minutes after toasting it,the butter would then be spread quite thickly on it.Now I will only eat either wholemeal bread toasted.........hot with lots of melted butter,or Warburtons toastie bread, also warm with lots of melted butter. :-)
