Got back to the car and a frosty faced warden, by then with a sneer, standing there.
I parked somewhere and didnt realise I had to have a clock time displayed, turns out only come into operation.

They also do an advanced diploma in hiding around corners & doing "hit & run" on cars.
They also have to be able to run fast.
Another useful attribute is being fat & ugly, and having the social skills of a dead rat.

got a call from a rep, her car had been impounded 150.00, however when she rang up it was only 150.00 to get the clamps off, cos they'd took it away it went up top 350.00, we went hairing off into brum (rush hour mind you) to get it back to be told when we got there that it was cash only - who carries that much cash on them?????? and then cos we had no money and had to come back the next day it went up to 390.00! now that was a bad day!
Cab, that happened to me a few years ago. I was new to the area and didn't know anything about the 'clocks' you have to leave on display.
I was only away from the car for a quarter of an hour - came back to it as a warden was writing me a ticket. She told me that it couldn't be cancelled as she had started writing it. She told me to write a letter explaining the situation and requesting it to be cancelled.
I did, but it fell on stoney ears and I had to pay up.
