how do I get rid of microsoft internet explorer pop ups? 180 search assistant pop ups constantly appear everytime I click onto a new page! Please help someone!

Do the following:

Get a pop-up blocker of some sort, get some free antivirus/antispyware software, because it is likely that you have spyware or viruses on your computer. I reccomend AVG virus scan, Ad-Aware SE professional, HijackThis, and Spybot-Search and Destroy. Just type them into google and it should come up with sites where they can be downloaded from

I agree with JOEY the Google Toolbar is the easiest to download - and will rid you of the dreaded pop-ups.

but I already have google toolbar its not stopping the horrible popups on casinos/brittania/rabbit assistant

Have to agree with you, I still get casino and 'Autotrader' (which I will now never buy because of this).

I think that these maybe are not genuine popups, but ads prompted from a program outside IE. For that reason I use mostly Mozilla now, which I quite like.
