Parts are: collar (lower and upper), collar band, yoke (if used), back, left front, right front, left front facing, right front facing, pocket(s) (if used), sleeve (this can be just one piece, or two pieces), sleeve placket, cuff.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by what the pattern would be for....
If you google "sewing a shirt" you get various links. This one has lessons in making a shirt (replace lesson 1 with lesson 2,3,4,5,6 etc.).
