phone o2 and tell them you want to cancel your contract has the other mobile companies are offering you a much better deal, they will then panic and thro better deals at you, if you've got the bottle you can keep hammering them down to a really good deal.
i did this last week and they offered me a free motorola v8 on a 15 a month contract with 200 minutes and 200 texts.
theyve also got a special sim only deal on at the moment for 20 a month that gives you 600 mins and 600 texts, you can then buy a fone off ebay, the offer is on until 30th october.

Like above poster said, call o2 i did. Been with them for 28months, told them that i wasnted to know how long it would take me to cancel my contract as i was unhappy at the cust service (i didn't get 1 call asking me 2 upgrade). After a bit of hagling i got a samsung g600, 2000 txt, 1000mins, unlimited i-mode & 5MB broadband wireless router for 25 a month. They were so helpful & have restored my faith with o2
