message from vodafone on payg mobile saying they are giving me 100 mins free.

just text OFFER and quote this 5 digit number.


Got message back saying the 100 mins will appear in 5 days.

How, it is PAYG ??

I had that a couple of months ago - the calls didn't reduce my credit, so were free.

I thought it was because I very rarely use the phone, so they were trying to encourage me to make a habit of phoning.

Hi Ethel, this is a phone rarely used as the main mobile is with the mrs.

So it must be purely time on phone then no matter who the call recipient is ?

I got one off vodaphone saying when I topped up with 5 or 10 pound or more and text them I would get free texts, has anyone else done this and can you explain ?
Is it worth doing I always think there is a catch ?

it is probably for vodafone marketing research purposes so they can devise other methods for getting custom. do the network providers store details of every single call and text made on every single handset in the uk?
