Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I know I've asked this clue before but I'm not totally happy with my answer
1. Permit loses 50 to get argon.
Only suggestion I've had is Alloa, but either my answer is wrong or the clue is wrong. Anybody got a better suggestion?

No better suggestion but it would work for Alloa if it had a 'sounds like' in the clue. ALLOW loses an L and takes AR which gives you ALOWAR - sounds like Alloa

Why lose the L then? It would sound the same with both L's.

Thanks Christiana and geo0939, but none of the other clues are "sounds like" and I'm wondering if we are supposed to take away the W and put in A for argon, that would work, but nothing to do with 50. And according to Google, argon is Ar. Will give it another day of thought.
