hi i had credit card debts in year 2000 can they still chase me for the money... i was told if i moved with out telling the credit card people they can chase me forever untill i pay.. also if they have sold the debt on to a collection agency can they still chase me

they can chase you forever, the debt wont magically go away
When you apply for a card from ANY company they make you sign their terms and conditions, in ALL terms and conditions, the company retains the right to sell on the debt to any company they choose to, in essence, your debt is still there its just owned by a different company and yes, you still have to pay, I suggest you pay your debts or they will affect you forever, the time limit for CCJs is currenty 6 years but most companies use a little loop hole and update your CCJ information on your credit file periodically, this means that your CCJ remains 'active' for six years from the last update. hope that hepls
