Speakin' of toast, why is it that if you drop that bit of toast you've just buttered, it always lands butter-side down ???
Question Author
Because most tables are a standard distance from the floor and obviously toast sits butter side up on a table, therefore the toast does not have the time to do a full revolution before it hits the ground, only half, therefore it lands butter side down.

we haven't even got electricity over here yet legend
I do, bob! I wasn't allowed to waste them. :)

hello cb is your cell adequately heated?
in plain bread i eat the straight end crust but not the curved end of the crust.
The buttered side has extra weight, so if you drop a piece of toast lengthways vertically, the weight of the butter pulls the buttered side downwards.
you would have more luck finding something I dont eat.
bob you can make toast on an peat fire

lol

Don't think it's really anything to do with the added weight or floor to worktop height ratio,

What I would like to know is just who is this SOD guy anyway ?

DebsyDoo ... he was an associate of Murphy and Parkinson.
